Reduced Head Knurled Body Rivet Nut
Reduced (thin) head, round knurled body, open or closed end. M3 to M12, carbon steel, zinc plated.

Flat head, round knurled body, open or closed end. M3 to M16, carbon steel, zinc plated.
A rivet nut (insert nut) gives a strong, reusable thread in sheet metal, tube or plastic that is too thin to tap. It is fitted from one side with a hand or pneumatic tool. The wide flat head spreads the load and covers slightly oversized holes. The square body sits in a square hole, so the nut cannot turn when the bolt is tightened. The open end lets a longer screw pass right through.
Available in M5, M6, M8 with grip ranges from 0.5 mm to 4 mm. Each part number covers a set range of sheet thickness and has its own overall length (L), shown in the table. Dimensions follow the supplier catalogue (YLB 2025).

Material: C = Carbon steel. Part number = SG + type + grade (01 carbon steel, 02 aluminium, 034 stainless steel SS 304) + end (OE open, CE closed) + thread + length + grip range. Example: SGFK01OEM6150525 = flat head knurled, carbon steel, open end, M6, length 15, grip 0.5–2.5 mm.
A rivet nut gives a strong, reusable thread in sheet metal, tube or plastic that is too thin to tap, and it is fitted from one side only. Here is how this nut goes in.
The square body sits in a square hole, so the nut cannot turn when the bolt is tightened. Use it where a punched square hole is easier than a hex hole.
Each part number sets in a range of sheet thickness (the grip). Pick the part whose grip covers your sheet: too thin and the collar will not clamp, too thick and the nut cannot fold. The hole size is in the table.
The thread runs right through, so a longer bolt can pass through the nut.
Flat head: a wide head that spreads the load and covers the hole edge.
Set with a hand, pneumatic-hydraulic or battery tool fitted with the matching mandrel. See our riveting tools.
